140/366: Playoff Predictions, Pt. 4

I’m pretty pissed that the Kings made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. I’m also disappointed that the Rangers didn’t make it. However, I’m happy that Brodeur has a chance to win a Stanley Cup with the possibility to retire looming. The best case scenario? The Devils win in 4 or 5 games, Brodeur wins the Conn Smythe, he retires, and then we rob the Devils in a trade for Luongo. (A man can dream can’t he?)

Anyways, my predictions are as follows:

(6) New Jersey in 6 v. (8) Los Angeles

If New Jersey wins in 4 or 5 games, Brodeur gets the Conn Smythe. If New Jersey wins in 6 or 7, or if Los Angeles wins easily, then Quick gets it.

An ex-Canuck will score the Cup-winning goal: that means either Steve Bernier for the Devils or Willie Mitchell for the Kings. The hockey gods are cruel like that.

I don’t care how the Finals end as long as the Kings don’t win. Yes, I’m bitter.
